filter pod compressing on one carb?

Hey guys- noticed some backfiring after putting my filter pods on and noticed the left pod is "sucking in" and staying somewhat compressed - any suggestions on what I need to tweak on the carb? The other filter pod is not doing the same...

Do you oil your filters? Really weird. What oil on the filters are
You using. Most of us use a 1/1 ratio of gas and oil, stir it around, let the filter
Soak it up,then let it sit overnight so the gas evaporates leaving behind a evenly distributed amount of oil. Sounds like your oiling is too thick.
Don't use K&n filter oil , it's too thick
