Finding correct fuel petcocks

Hi I have a 79 xs650 and I’m looking for the correct fuel petcocks. I just bought some on eBay and they don’t fit. I’m trying not to get burnt again. The center to center holes are 46mm and it is a vacuum type. I found one on MikesXS but it isn’t a vacuum type. Could someone guide me to the correct ones because it seems like most of the ones online are scams.

Finding a (new) vacuum type petcock for a 40 year old bike will be a challenge. Maybe someone on this site has a couple they want to part with. If you already have one that doesn't work you could get a rebuilt kit.

Do you not want to use a none vacuum type? I have one from XS650direct (Mike's Canadian site) that works well. Probably the one you saw on Mike's.

If I switch to a non vacuum type and cap off the vacuum port I should be fine I suppose? That’s the one I saw yep haha.

Yes. Just block off the vacuum port and remember to turn the new petcock on and off.
