Brand new member from Norway here.

This looks like an exellent place to "hang out".

Have been riding bikes for twentysomething years now, and i will get my first XS650 one of the first days in 2012.
Previous i have owned several bikes like Suzuki GT380 and GSX1100 and a Yamaha V-Max. My daily runner nowdays is a 77`XS500.

However, right now there is 5 inches of snow outside and about -5degree celcius, not ideal for riding but there is time to spend in the garage.

Greeting from Norway, happy hollidays.

Sorry about the bad english writing.

Velkommen til styret!
Er ikke google oversette en vidunderlig ting?
I'm not Norwegian, but I ate Lefsa last night.
Tell us more about your XS650.

The 650 is a 79'Special, imported from the US and are resprayed in some red color. There is some work to be done, chargeing is
not ok and there is a issue with the 1st gear, jumping in and out of gear.
Regarding theese things i am all ears and will appreciate advices on the best way to fix this. There is at least 3 months until the weather
allow any riding so i hope to get it done by then.

Google translate is kind of funny, the translation was accurate exept the word "board", then thing went bad. In Norwegian
"Velkommen til styret!" means welcome to the handlebar or welcome to the board of directors.

Did you enjoy the lefse?

Welcome, I'm english and can read you fine. How did you like the V-Max, I have always admired them but never tried.

Thanks.
The V-Max is a rude brute, great fun for straight ahead 0-60 or 0-100 for that matter, not so great for curving. A little "wobbly", all this and a lot more. Either you love it or you hate it. I did 40,000 miles in three years.

Welcome aboard!

Your English is a whole lot better than my Norwegian :D

Thanks.
