I've got a bent left footpeg for a '78 Special and I'm wondering a few things. First of all, I'm not sure how it got bent but I have 2 ideas:
1. The bike was crashed back in the 70s and it may have got bent in the wreck.
2. The peg may have gotten bent from kick-starting and coming down on the left footpeg after the kick.
So has anyone seen a left footpeg bent from kick-starting? And I'm going to look on eBay for a suitable replacement but what years are interchangeable? Are all the Specials the same? I don't care about the footpeg itself, just the bracket that attaches the peg itself to the bike.
