Hey everyone, glad to be here! So I have a 75 XS650 which has been sitting in my garage for approximately 2 to 3 years. This fall I plan to start rebuilding it or should I say reassembling it with my son who is 11. I have very basic knowledge when it comes to rebuilding a motorcycle so my question is where do I start? Forks, wheels And suspension? Thanks for all your time I look forward to interacting with many of you.

My way is front to back. Especially true if you aren’t dismantling the entire thing. That said, remove the front end, deal with the front wheel as required, replace fork seals and fluid as required, and steering bearings.
Then on to the next thing.
