Front Directional Mounts to Bottom Tree?

Hi,

I'm trying to decide on the mounting location for my front directional LEDs. One option would be to drill holes in my after market aluminum headlight brackets but that would put them kind of close to the light and maybe not so visible. I've noticed some have mounted off of the bottom triple tree and am wondering how you or they did it. Any pics would be appreciated!

Thanks racerdave for the link. they look real good but after I measured, I have 17mm between centers and not the 20mm that he sells. Looks like I'll be making my own once I can locate some aluminum plate.

"The hole is 10mm. We only have the 20mm spacing. Very strange. I am not sure what Yamaha did. It doesn't appear to be year related. Some late 70s XSs are 17mm, but most are 20mm."
