Quick question to all you wise Chaps I have been restoring a XS650 mid 70s fuel tank with twin petcocks
is the XS fuel tanks the same as a SR fuel tank and is the any other model of yamaha that has the same Tank
All the best
Funky

What's going on here funky? pic three is a different (not XS650) tank! No other Yamaha model has an exact fit tank and vice versa

My bad, the petcock area looked more angled than what I was expecting to see, maybe the lighting angle. But I checked and confirmed, exactly like my special tank.

Look to be completely different.........Has cups instead of caps up front...........petcock is way more forward and may snag on the engine..........

Sorry a bit lazy today.......can't be bothered to download and post the pics.........

Can't believe people expect to sell something like that..........Well i do believe they do but.............

The only thing that could be of some use is the tunnel, (if the rust hasn't got it),........they have been fused onto the XS750 triple tanks increasing the fuel size from 17 1/2 liters to 22 liters.....Wounded about the XS850 tank and figure it would go from 22 Liters to about 27-28 liters.........Standard tanks........

It a shame that the tank's that are for sale in the USA are a great price but the duty placed on US by the UK on imports from the US plus postage makes it very expensive ... otherwise i would buy a few to restore
