Been on the back burner lately with school. Really should bring it out, and this would be a good kick start.

my '79 special, from last spring (i'm terrible with taking pictures), it now has a two-into-one exhaust, and lower handle bars from some parts bike up in the barn. i'm sorting out the handling this winter, now that the engine has proven pretty sorted out, and braking is getting to be more important, as i don't seem to be getting any lighter...

This is my 72 XS-2 650. My dad bought it in 1972, it was the first motorcycle I got a ride on when I was 5 yrs old and now it's mine :) About three years ago I got it running again and now take my 5yr old dughter for rides on it. There are a few things I'd like to do it brakes being one. I love this bike and will keep it forever.007.jpg

Here's my beauty (she's pretty on the inside).

Last winter it got a frame off (inside my apartment) to get it running properly, this winter it's getting a lighter tear down to improve some of the weaknesses and improve aesthetics. A new front master cylinder is in order and better brake solution up front would do wonders next year. :bike:

Last winter.

77 XS650, former ice racer.
Currently in the 'ingredient stage' but mocked up.
Going for retro 30s-40s hardtail look.
That Brembo would help a LOT! :wink2:
