Going to my first NASCAR race

Got tickets to the race at Road America in July for Father’s Day present. Although I have been to many motorcycle races there This will be my first car race in a long time and first nascar race. Race is sold out for cars but fortunately my sister lives close to the track so I can walk to it. Hopefully they won’t jack up the prices at the concession stands.

In the early 80's I worked concession at Daytona. My first was at the backstretch. When the green flag dropped, I ran up to the fence with everyone else. 42 cars going by at 210 mph bumper to bumper and door handle to door handle is an experience that has stayed with me. It left a mark. Incredible!

You buy at concession, you pay. Enjoy the spectacle and eat when you get home.
