Last weekend I went to Thunder on the Grand in Ionia Michigan. It was OK.
Anyway, a local shop had a vendor booth showing off their work.
Hammer in Hand (http://hammerinhandcycles.com/ out of St. Johns MI. The bikes thay had on display where real cool. They even had a bike make the cover of The Horse.
I chatted with one of the guys for a long time. Their focus is on Old Harleys, but they have done a CB750 and are interested in xs650s. They have a real cool kit for making your own custom leather seat and have the tools and know how to make just about anything. I'm going to be going to them in the future for custom fab work. They seem real easy to work with. Just a couple of cool guys who are excited about building bikes, making works of art, and helping others to do so the same.
