I just need to know this slot for a keyway on my cam it's a 79 XS650 with a board out 706 kit from cruising image Stop Cam and everything else other than the bore and I'm still going to use my point setup and then I had to pull the pin for the auto for the advance weights out of another cam cuz I've got several motors and I got noticing on this one cam it's got a keyway slot on the left hand side where the points go what happens if I don't think I put that key way back in so I don't remember coming apart but there's obviously a slot for it what is that for is that for the bearings inside or what happens if I don't put it back
