I have restored a xs2 ' 72, but I have a problem: the starter motor runs fine, spins the wheel also indicated with the arrow in the picture attached, but do not turn the Pistons ...

What could be the problem? with the start-up pedal start

The starter motor turns that gear you show, that gear turns a shaft that runs across the engine. This shaft spins a small gear that turns the bendix gear set behind the clutch.
As the shaft turns the bendix a wishbone shaped spring holds the gears from turning, this makes them slide over to engage the crank. This turns the engine.
Most often when this fails the spring is weak.
A search for starter fixes will lead you to threads telling how to fix this.
The kick start pedal does not use any of these parts. The kick start engages gears in the transmission and turn the engine through the clutch.
So to use the kick start you have to put the bike in neutral, let the clutch lever out, then kick.

I don't have any pics but inxs has done threads on several systems.
On pics the best I can do is tell you to look in your repair manual. Clymer's book page 43 shows the kick start. In the pic you see the shaft the pedal goes on. You see it engages gears in the tranny that engage the clutch to turn the engfine. Page 86 shows the gears and cross shaft of the starter system. the gear #12 is what you see in your pic. Gears #20, and parts 15 to 22 are mounted on the cover #23.
The gear on the starter engages #21, this engages through the bushings #19 gear #20.
#20 engages gear #12 on the shaft, the shaft engages gear 11 that engages gear #5. As this gear spins it causes gear #4 to spin, the spring clip #3 holds the gears from turning and slide out on the splines on part #1. This causes gear #4 to engage the crank and spin the engine.
