Help!

Yeah you have to turn the screws in a little bit before it starts to move the slides, but once you turn the screws and they get somewhat tight in the slides slowly go up

Well it sounds like they're all the way down. One way to make sure would be to disconnect the cable from the slide and see if they drop any more. Other than that, try firing it up.... with the idle screws all the way out. If it won't idle, you're good. You just gotta set the idle. If it still revs like crazy... you still got a problem somewhere.

I'm with jim that hole looks huge. I asked above about checking for slack in the throttle cables.

There’s not much slack at all, but the throttle isn’t sticking either. I’m gonna disconnect the cable and see if the slides slide down any

Ok fellers so I disconnected the throttle cables from the carbs, and the slides did not fall down any more, so they are as far down as they go (just like in the last pic I sent) which seems like a pretty big hole that it leaves. But I’m gonna start it up to make sure it does not idle and then proceed to tinker with the screws turning them in a half turn at a time. But before I do that I have one stupid question, would y’all recommend me choking the bike while I’m doing these practice starts or no? She doesn’t like to start in the cold anyway and it’s cold at my house.

Go ahead and choke it.... whatever it takes to get it runnin'. As I said before, I've no experience with those carbs, but as a guess... look for about 2-2500 on startup with the choke on. If all's well, it should die when you shut the choke off.

10-4. She doesn’t have an rpm gauge, or any gauge for that matter, so I’ll have to just go by ear. Thanks a lot for yalls help! I really appreciate it.
