Hiking waterfall canyon / ancient petroglyphs

My wife and I went hiking this morning in the White Tanks Mountains regional park. We took a hike known as the Waterfall Canyon trail, because it ends up in a steep canyon that has a waterfall only if it’s been raining. There are also many petroglyphs left by ancient Indian cultures. Most of the petroglyphs were believed to be created by the first known inhabitants a tribal people simply referred to as The Archaic Culture, as long ago as 2000 BC. ( A little trivia here: The first known inhabitants of Arizona were near the Mexican border in 12,000 BC. The Ice Age was still going and it extended down into Arizona and they have found Mammoth bones at what they call a kill site, where the animals were cut up and cooked, and they have found spear tips embedded in Mammoth rib bones. )

We have had recent rains about a week ago, enough that there was some water trickling through the wash, but the falls wasn’t running today. Here is a file photo of what it looks like when it is,
