So here are a few update pics...
Although I did do the fitment, I don't have the mad skills required to weld this, so I outsourced this to a work colleague...
Cant stress enough pressure testing the tank with low pressure air, as I caught a few minor leaks this way... I pressure tested post welding, and after grinding down the welds prior to the body work.
Mounted on the bike with some body work done...
This wasn't the only reason I did this, but yes I do like the retro triumph look...

for the true retro "Ton up boy" look we used to slap Philips Stick-a-soles on the tank sides.
