how to fit a flat tracker seat

I'm thinking of fitting a flat tracker seat to my 81 special, but, how is best to do it?
How do you fit a comfy seat pad, or is that foam padding sheet any good?
Which seat looks nicest on a special the one with or without the built in number boards?
For cost reasons for now I shall be sticking with the stock mag wheels, so I need to keep this in mind for the correct look.

Its up to you. There are several companys out there that do glass work. Omars and grad prix are two that come to mind right now. I like the seat with out the number plate my self, to me it looks like a real flat tracker. Plus it cheaper. Just my two cent.

I have heard of people making a flat seat out of a skateboard deck. Might be worth a try.
