I never had one or even road one until today.
She's 29 years old.
She was a basket case when I first laid eyes on her a few months ago
The engine was missing pieces the trans was gone
Alot of TLC and she is back on the road.
Anyway my first American motorcycle 1986 XLH Sporty
I think this 883 evo first gen engine will be collected in the future.\too bad it didn't come with a kickstarter

I dig sportys. But after trying to heave the whale off of the side stand. ..the riding the most underwhelming engine ever. I kind of don't know anymore. A 1200 would more than likely convert me.

I still don't get how an 883 can weigh that much.

For a small bike it is a bit heavy
I,ve been riding my Aero a lot this summer so the sporty doesn't feel heavy.
But it is does need some sorting out.
I have to get used to only having 4 gears.
And I see front brake upgrade in future
The OEM brakes are comparable to the xs650 OEM brakes "much squeezing not much stopping" :D
She sounds good looks okay too but ........
I think a face lift is in order :D
I also didn't have to put out any cash to get her to where she is today.
except tax tags title. I swapped for everything no lie.
