i think i did good for $50

I have been looking on craigslist for a welder for a month or so and found a 110v century flux core for $50. I called him and he said it was junk and wouldn't weld anything. I've never had a seller tell me that before. I said I still want to look at it anyway I'm not going to build a sky scraper. Well after looking at it it still had the original wire from 1994 in it. He said it was flux core only but has a nipple on the back made out of brass and that line went to the gun. I didn't tell him that it would accept gas. I gladly took it home and being my first welder I'm happy. I still need to get a helmet and a new spool of wire. Also its cheaper than a harbor freight pos.

run parallel bead after bead on flat 18ga steel you'll get the hang of it....@ 110 v you are limited but it will make you a new battery box or bob a fender...don't be trying to weld on a hardtail with it...... Get a good mask! protect yer eyes...welding is a lot of fun...ride safe!
