Ignition 2019 now that things have changed

well nothing is wrong with points per se but for the past 30 years bike manufacturers have not supplied bikes with points so I guess it would not be unreasonable to assume that electronic ignition has some benefits over a points and mechanical advance system :)

That said if its important to retain originality then the question hardly arises unless one chooses the sensible option of fitting a electronic ignition system for low maintenance and reliabilty and performance and retain the original parts so that they can be swapped back when required or sold with the bike

Hello from Germany:)

my english writing is bad, my Reading skills are netter;) after many years of reading in this forum, now i have to give you some Input:)

This is a beatiful piece of switzerland technic. It's a electonic ignation, no more points, no more mechanical advance. Works down to 7 volts, it measure the vacuum load and dynamiacal adjust the timing to best Drehmoment and fuel/load efficenci .
You can program it to your wishes. Not cheap but Long lasting. And Last but not least, the name innogniation was foundet by Community members from the German speaking forum.

Till last year I had a "NWZ", the predecessor of "innognition". It never let me alone! Since Last year, i overhaul the complete engine and reasemble the whole bike. Never ending story:) If it's done i build in the innognition, wich's waiting in my garage.
