ignition fuse keeps blowing

Give us details, what year, stock harnes or not? Pamco, TCI, or points? PMA or stock rotor and stator?

Most likely the answer is a short somewhere, so bust out that multimeter and start checking.

You have a dead short in the ignition system. It is caused when you have contact from a positively charged wire to a negative wire (or frame which is grounded). You need to troubleshoot the whole circuit. Get a wiring diagram and follow the wire from the fuse all the way to the coils. An easy way to troubleshoot is to start unplugging switches and stuff in the circuit and plugging back in one by one and one will blow the fuse again. This will show you the problematic part (or parts).

On a side note troubleshooting electrical is not the easiest task for most people. If you are not sure your best bet might be to have an experienced friend or professional check it out for you.
