This here ignition switch has been kicking my butt!

I chopped and bobbed my 1977. I got'er all put back together and wired,
Oiled'er up, got some gas in the tank, getting ready for the first start and to dial
in the timing. After like three kicks it came to life....YAY!
Couldn't keep it running long enough to get it timed....BOO!
I figured it was the setting of the Pamco and too out of time so i went to
tweekin that plate to different settings and I ended up getting very hurt
by the kick back...thought I broke my foot...so that was it for a bit and I had
to take a few beers days off and recover.
Get back to it several weeks later and got kicked again...broken leg??? "discouraged"...More beers!
I built this fancy thing you guys call a spark tester.
No spark!
I checked every connection, changed the plugs and wires, even though they didn't look bad.
Continuity and everything was what I would expect and it all led back to to this
little junkie piece of shit!
It's a three way switch and running a continuity test on each of the three setting is
intermittent/breaks contact just by jiggling all three settings.

So long story long...

Do you guys have any suggestions on a "Quality", ignition switch that is small in stature???
Two or three way switch is cool by me, I'm just hoping to keep it small.

Thanks for all you guys do out there keeping these sexy beasts alive.

jtoolin73, first off set your timing back. if it's breaking your leg it's off. If your going to run an aftermarket switch like that they can be picked up cheaply and easily at your local auto parts store. I'm running pretty much the same switch and that's where I got mine. works great too.

Thanks for the reply.
I do have the disc adjusted back to the center and I thought the
ignition switch worked fine in the beginning but after getting kicked
and then finding no spark and through troubleshooting with my fluke
meter i found the ignition contacts are shoddy and loosing continuity
I had to ask for a better ignition switch...i just don't want to buy junk
again...

Say, what kind of fuse box is that in your diagram? Would you happen to know the part number and/or where I might be able to get something like that? (sorry to derail the thread!)

I don't have the part number but if you search Amazon for electronic project box, you'll find them
they come in all shapes and sizes.

Thanks! But I was actually referring to the blade fuseholder in your wiring schematic, it looks like it has 6 circuits.
