Looks like the rumble of the internal combustion motorcycle is being challenged by the thundering whisper of electric bikes. Just ran across this article today.
I'm not saying our XS650's (or even any other octane fueled bundle of fun) are going to the wayside any time soon. However, I'd love to have a chance to zoom around on an electric cruiser and see the people gawk at the silence a bike can indeed project.
If I was a smarter person (and had a lot more money available to me) I'd build an electric bike. I'd call it an eXS650 (or something like that).
