Well apart from a few bits on the snag list, I've finally finished my project bike. Started with a box of bits brought as spares for my other XS; I saw what was there & thought " I can geta bike out these bits". The theme comes from the original frame having "Made in Japan" on the downtube, reminding me of a rather cool album that was the first or second I ever brought.
I could not have got the bike completed with out the insight patience and expertise afforded me by the members of this forum; thank you all who put up with my dumb questions, I'm richer for your assistance and now know my way around this great bike well. Oh I ended up completely rewiring the bike from scratch based again on knowledge from here.
What a brilliant resource! Now I suppose I should get it vinned (NZ road compliance for registration) and ride it legally!
