ok unless someone has had a bad experience using JB weld to smooth frame inperfections I plan to use it as it will take the that a powdercoat over puts out.
any thoughts?
JB Weld makes the stuff in tubes. One resin the other hardener. They make this in the regular formula and a Kwik Set. The Kwik Set won't take the heat of the oven as well as the regular stuff.
I don't know about the putty stuff, never used it.

Ask your powder coat if he has a primer. My coater has a primer he sprays, bakes and then you sand it like a high build primer. I havent used it but he says it works well.
I also researched "lab metal" that looks like a good option too , just have to see where its sold at .
the factory frame has many many inperfections in it krappy looking welds , dimples everywhere , but im use to seeing aluminum spar frames and late model dirt bike frames that are crazy clean in the assembly process
