You did good to build your own stand. That TC Bros. stand from Mikes is a P.O.S. Someone gave me one and it's just plain awful. A royal pain to install and remove, partly because it fits like shit. I mean, if you're going to make and sell something, make it fit why don't you, lol.

Personally, I don't care for that type of stand that hooks to the front engine mount. That mount is on the upper case half. The other stand connection point is on the lower case half. You can't split the cases with that stand in place, or fit an upside down stand to the upper front motor mount that would allow you to flip the motor over and split the cases. I prefer the simple angle iron stand that was detailed in the early shop manuals, or maybe it was a tech bulletin.

I recently started modding the ones I've built to make accessing the 2 stand bolts easier. Any I build in the future will be made this way .....

Well Jim, I love the way you think. That sure looks like something you paid a lot for. Very nicely done!

Great job Jim! With your skills I think it's evident that one day you'll built your own frame. If you haven't done that already in the past.

My "upside down stand" is a 4X6" wooden block with holes drilled for the top end studs (first pic.). It doesn't require the front mount.
Good to know. If I ever get offered one.... I'll take a pass. ;)

It says it has a duty cycle of 60%: and efficiency at 85%......................how does that work out? Did you have to rest the machine during the cuts???

A few months ago I cut out two 8 foot wide by six foot tall openings in a steel building. I cut them pretty much non-stop except for repositioning the man lift. It never missed a beat.

Yes, the brass floats and drain bolt float bowls would make them 1980 BS34s. That was a smokin' deal. They look to be in fine shape.

Yeah, was actually feelin' kinda bad for the guy. Then I got to thinking.... 'bout 6 months ago I put some Cessna airplane parts on Ebay that should have got me about 3 grand. "One" guy bid 500 and got em' :(
What goes around comes around... :D
