On my 25 minute ride to work each day I spend only about 4 minutes idling, the rest of the time the engine sits around 3000 rpm so I don't think the battery will be undercharged in those situations. I have the standard charging system and its in good condition.
Winter is just around the corner here so I'll have a look at these carbs jetting and see if that can fix my low rpm stalling problem.
I've advanced the ignition a couple of degrees today and the bike feels like it has 5 more HP, but still has the RH carb pop from time to time, even though the idle is now faster (as would be expected). Am now chicken-shit to kick start it in case it kicks back and hurts my foot/leg. Starts well on electric starter.
