Went for a little 90km run to the coast before the rain and cool weather sets in. Nice little coastal community called Cocagne. Use to have international Regatta races here and was held from 1974 until ended around 1999. We go riding either bikes or Jeep with the top off in these areas cause of its view and atmosphere. Reminds me of where I grew up in northern New Brunswick. JC

I went for a 70 mile 'shakedown' ride today. I have only ridden about 100 total miles since I finished the resto, mostly 10 miles.
I took lots of pix for the calendar too. Here are 2 that I prolly won't use. Beautiful Colorado!

Thanks Jim! I thought it would tie in with some other chrome bits I have here and there on the bike. Sorta potpourri of painted, scotchbrite and chrome bits to tie all together. JC
I'm gonna need one of those for my Speed Twin build down the road. You recall where you got it from?

After the ride I took yesterday it got me a thinking. A few days ago I read Twomany’s info on bar position.

Best position is to have the bar's uprights in-line and parallel with the forks...

I adjusted my bars and I also did not like the position of my seat. I looked at a bunch of XS pics studying where the rider sits in relation to the rear suspension. After looking at it all, I fabbed up a bracket to raise the front and back up an inch or so.

After getting all my wood pellets for the up coming winter season, I took er out for a ride. What a difference that has made to my bike!!! Handling and comfort has increased 10 times if not more.

Thanks TwomanyXS for the info! Here are a few pics where I stopped on the old highway quite windy but man was a blast to ride! JC
