I have a '81 special, XS650SH. I picked it up for $200.00 a few years ago. The PO hacked the electrical, so i bought a new harness from mikesxs. i stripped it down completely and painted a few parts. then life stepped in....and it sat in pieces for years. now i'm going to build it up. i'm just going for a stock build on it with maybe just changing the color. nothing too crazy. looks like i can gain some knowledge here in my endeavor.

thanks for the welcome. as for the pics, i love them just as much as the next guy, but right now, my bike is in three or so plastic bins! i have the motor stripped too and have a lead on a guy that will bead blast it and another guy lined up for powder coating my frame. then i'll have something to take a picture of. i just ordered a bunch of barts from mikesxs, including a 5th gear over drive. i KNOW i'll need help getting that done.
