I’m aware this has been covered before but I thought I’d ‘weigh in’ too.
I’m about to place an order with Cognito Moto of hubs for my build. They’re offered in a ‘bare’ finish and as I’ve been infected with the highly infectious condition of compulsion to polish (CTP) I’d like to make them all shiny.
Now I’m aware that once laced the inner areas of the hubs will be a little inaccessible.
Would I be wasting by time polishing the inner sections before they’re laced and should I resign myself to the fact that these will always look a little ‘grubby’ in comparison to maintainable polished aluminium?
Could either clear spray or clear anodising protect the polished surface from deterioration once applied?
I apologise for the lengthy post and hope it makes sense. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Daniel.
