Thanks!! - Not sure I’ve really seen a cafe style bike with lace.

I use lace quite often on some surfboards I build.

First tank I’ve ever painted - fun to do for sure.

I dig it haha.

Wow! Very cool and that really brings back memories, I had a 66 CB450 with the chrome and kneepads tank that had a custom red and black lace paint job, when I was in high school, um a couple years ago. o_O

Must be my day for drift...

In 1974, I had a total wreck of a 1965 Mustang. 6 cyl, 3 on the floor (what was left of the floor...) and gave rat-rods a bad name. A buddy and I got bored and more than a little liquored up one weekend (never a good combination...) and hauled a lace curtain off the trailer window and some left over spray bombs out of the back room and went to work.

I heard later that the CO wanted to ban it from the base but couldn't find a reasonable justification as it was licensed, insured and stickered perfectly legally.

Love it!!

That is one bike I hope to someday own - I’m going to pick up a 450 tomorrow but it’s a 72. A black bomber is on the list.

sounds like you didn’t shy away from a good time! Haha

I wasn’t there “back in the day” but I love hearing everyone’s stories.

Sold it and the next day the kid rear ended a car, lost a nut going over the bars but otherwise survived. He walked kinda carefully for a while.

Ha! -

I used to work at a speed and restoration shop working on Italian bikes and scooters and we always had a saying “ there is no wrench that can fix the loose nut behind the handlebars”

It now seems to take on new meaning haha

It’s a 500t (basically a 450 with a longer stroke - less revs)

still braking it in (fresh top end) - cracked 80 on a straight through the canyons and it still had a lot to give.

I’d really like to get it on a scale - Im certain it’s sub 300lbs.

speed holes, mesh, rivets, stacks, stripes... they are all scientifically proven to dramatically increase speed hahaha
