I'm fabricating my foot peg mounts and wanted to see if anyone knew how much lean angle you need before the pegs hit. I have a rigid frame, so not much height change from the rear. Under braking the front would be a bit lower, but not sure how much at this point. I currently have my pegs mounted so the tip is 8" off the ground and I can get 28 degrees of lean before the tip of the peg is touching the ground. What do you think, is that enough?:bike:

I just wanted to see if there was some sort of standard for clearance on this type of bike or a rule of thumb lean angle. For normal every day driving I'm sure the 8" and 28 degrees is fine, but wasn't sure how far you would get leaned over in a critical situation. I'm on the western side of Raleigh about an hour from Greensboro.
