Quick question, I'd like to switch my idiot lights to led lights...how do I do this?
I went to Radio Shack and bought a green led and promptly burnt it up, I'm assuming it had too much power going to it...so do I need a resistor or something?
Sorry, I'm just starting to learn electronics/wiring on motorcycles.
Thanks for any info.

Yes, you need a resistor for most LEDs, unless you buy those lightbulb replacements. Amazon.com sells them cheap. They would plug in just like the originals.

I'll look at Amazon.

um. Did you get a 12v led?

I'd suggest just going to a web site. And buying 1445 compatible.

Umm...so my eyes and my brain weren't working at the same time when looking at the LED package.

- LED ... indicator, high beam, neutral

Inxs nice setup...what did you use as a mounting plate?

Dpawl31 yeah it's a great site, but hard to navigate.

- a piece of alu plate...16? or 17?mm thick machined underneath for a 22mm bar and drilled to 33mm centres 100mm apart
