  1. Could be; that seat has had the strap cut off, the base is made of fiberglass

    69-70 have the bend to them as those years have different side covers.
    71 and new are parallel to the ground, somewhat, and without the bend.

    A suggestion... start a build thread and document everything you did there. I'd be very extremely interested in reading that and it would be much easier to find/follow instead of interspersed in this thread.

    HOLY COW - now we definitely need some details on that puppy Home build.
    • what sort of blower?
    • what type of relief valve?
    • how much boost? :yikes:
    • what sort of carb?
    • what type of fuel do you run?
    • are you running an oil cooler - and photos please...
    • any durability issues (and this may be the sticky issue....)?
