Mikuni VM34 Air Filters

I’m looking for readily available (I live in Toronto Ontario Canada) air filters for my VM34 carbs. I bought the kits from Hoos Racing a number of years ago and they included USA made 3”x4” pleated KN clone filters. The filters have been good until one got knocked off when I hit a pothole and then run over.

XS650 Direct nor Mike’s et al seem to carry this type anymore.

Uni UP4229 and UP4229st seem to be options.

I’d rather not have to re jet if possible.

Any advice would be welcomed.

I put Unis on my Red Bike with the same carbs. I do not know whether one filter flows better than the other. Pleateds do not seem to work well with vacuum slide carbs. Ride it in your comfortable environment and decide if a jet change is needed. Changing jets is 7 minutes per side.

Thanks. What model number Unis did you install? The pleated filters have worked well with the VM35s. Most kits come with them.

I do not remember the model number. They are the 4 inch long filters. Uni numbers their parts by length and carb bellmuoth Diamanter if IIRC.
