If all the brass, cutaway, and fuel inlet valves are setup correctly in both, are there any reasons I'm not aware of to keep me from using sled carbs on a 650?

I asked this once .. you can get them cheap on ebay .. evidently some have oil barbs that need blocked off .. but thats about it

If they are VM carbs, they will work, but you may spend more than you want. Main and pilot jets are cheap enough, but needles and needle jets in particular are not so cheap. Slides are $$$, but you may luck out on that. Pull out the air jet and toss it, and as pointed out, there may be oil inlets to block off.
Somewhere here there are threads that will get you in the ballpark for jet #'s.
32 or 34 will work, bigger maybe not as good for best response.
