...got in a good ride till i had technical glitch (broke fork spring or something in there) and limp mode home...

Wow that looked like trials bike heaven!
...it is petrified sand dunes...
...there was a couple hundred mountain bikers and motorcyclists out there,as well as tons of jeeps and UTV's...i was out earlier than most...
...getting ready to take more pics with mass amounts of bikers on the trails when bike got hurt, pics not happen today...
...because after good ride, with collapsed front fork, i left so others can't see wounded warrior, especially after i was showing off alot...
...anyhow, 2 forks are better than one broken one...
...back in business soon...
...different brand fork and putting larger disk on too...

Nice! You got your road warrior running again! What was wrong with it?
2 problems...charging and grit in carbs...
...upgrade rectifier/regulator and new stator...
...carbs had one sticking float, one pilot jet plug, and a bad vac fuel valve...
...made vac operated valve now manual on/off...
...bike running perfect again, and hope it stays that way for a while...
...street bike was down for a month or so, but i was busy anyhow with other stuff...
