Monstercraftsman Xs650 Turbo Project has begun

Looking good. That's our master mechanic Jeremy looking on with admiration.

Doesn't look a lot different since last post, but we swapped out the stems which was a huge project. So now the GXSR front fork has the xs650 stem in it which works right with all the bearings. Also, our final wheel and tire selection is complete. Billy from Monstercraftsman completely disassembled his 16 and 19 from his personal bike and offered it up to use with this turbo bike. He sandblasted everything individually and powder coated the rims, hubs, and spokes, different shades of black and reassembled the wheels. fresh firestones mounted and balanced and wheels trued!

This is some build right here. Lovin' it! :)

Now, with the angle of that tank, will the taps be at the front? I assume it's still a gravity feed despite the turbo (no computer or EFI?)?

...Trying to be patient while waiting for pics of the completed bike. Teaser pic from the show looked fantastic.

You mean this one?

Looking good boys...

I wish I could make the show, worked all day yesterday and tomorrow and unfortunately have prior arrangements today... such is life.

The boys at Monster are busy bees for the next couple days, so we probably won't hear much until next week. But I have to say... Jon really knows how to pull a team together and make things happen. I hope everyone bares in mind, this was a 30 day build and it came together quite AWESOME! I hope he gets a lot of traffic at the show!

I went up to the show on friday to drop a frame off to Jon to get one of the new voodoo hardtails done. The turbo bike is sick in person hard to see all the details in person. Really good group of guys at monstercraftsman and it shows in their work.

How did you set up oil feed for the turbo?
I was concerned about robbing pressure from the engine to feed the turbo?
Ive got a similar turbo off an earlier 600cc ForTwo to use

I would also love an update on this bike. I had to move back to the Philly area but I frequent J&B's First Friday's in Craley and I've heard the MonsterCraftsman guys float around there sometimes.
