So, I've begun my journey into building my chopper. I have stripped the frame and taken the motor out. I've been dealing with a pretty severe pushrod leak that has left the left side and bottom of the motor disgustingly gunk'd up.

I am working with an '80 XS Special. So, my question is, is there anything that I should not get engine degreaser on or am I safe to spray down everything in the pushrod area and underneath the motor?

I've searched and not found much on this topic. Mostly just what products to use. Thank you!

Make sure the pushrod stays in place so you don't squirt inside the tranny. I wouldn't hit the alternator directly either. Other than that... hose it down.

Cool! I figured everything in that area would be pretty safe to hose down, aside from the electronics In the area. Thanks!
