not as illustrious, but considering i still haven't gotten around to getting my license, not bad,

had a rupp as a kid, spent more time working on it than riding it,
had an '80 CB650, was completely seized, worked on it through my last year of highschool, but never finished before i moved off to college, didn't have time, so ended up selling it to a buddy, it runs now, but the parts are $$$, so it's not on the road,
and now the XS, started the process of getting my license at the same time, but was too busy last summer to take the courses, hopefully i'll start this spring, and maybe by this fall i might be able to ride it alone...

I have some pictures somewhere... In order of purchase...

This is the result of my winter in the shop. It came to me as a partially assembled salvage bike. 98 Suzi TL1000R. I might name her "Rowdy" because she is! There is much hand work and a good number of "catalog custom" bits on it.

I am also in the middle of another XS with the frame currently at the powder coat shop.

CB 77, W/ CB 350 pistons. Got it running and never got to ride it. One of my lifes regrets.
'74 Ural w/ sidecar. Fun to ride after getting the sidecar thing down.
'60 R-69 Earls fork was interesting. Never got full power from it but it was a good ride. Added the sidecar to it and it was like it was on rails. Great fun!
'70 something CB 175. Not a touring bike. Light. Good commuter/city bike.
'82 R-100RS. Euro spec. Fast and nimble. Good touring bike.
'84 H-D Low Rider. Didn't have it very long. Got Stolen. Vibrated like crazy but still was a good ride. And I was young then. LOL
'72 CB 350 K2. Fast Very Nimble. Good brakes for dual drums. Tach hits 5k and hold on!
Take the slow roads and you could go coast to coast.
'79 H-D Super Glide. I didn't learn from the first time! I did enjoy it though. It too got stolen.
'73 Norton 850 Commando. Pure torque! Handled Great! One I miss. Long sad story.
'74 (?) XS (TX?) 650. Fun bike, but sold it too soon and always regretted it. Solved last July with my present ride. '80 SG
I've owned many more but they were a project or (as my wife called them) door stops.
Present project (when I'm not working or rideing the SG) is a '78 Kawasaki KZ 650B2.
'92 XJ600 Seca II . Almost ready for engine start. Repaired wireing and rebuilding carbs.
:bike:

I forget if I posted before in this thread. Not counting the mini-bikes:

1971 or so Honda SL100
1976 Honda CB200
1970 CL175K3
1989 Sportster (1200 conversion)
1987 Honda Magna (aka SuperMagna)
1979 Yam XS650F (nearly stock bike)
2002 Suzuki SV650
currently have:
2007 Sportster XL1200L
and of course my '80 chopper project bike

Here are mine from over the years....

Not my bike but the first bike I ever rode... Honda Trails. (thank god I never wiped out with that gear on lol)

Gregdirtbike.jpg

My first street bike... 1994 Kawasaki ZX-6E.

GregsBike.jpg

Bought my next one brand new... 2002 Kawasaki ZX-9R

13-26389-side.jpg

Then I traded it on a race bike and rode at the track for a while on this 2000 Suzuki GSX-R 600.

1.jpg

Somewhere in the middle of these I picked up a dirtbike as well.... 1986 Suzuki RM250.

wheelie1.jpg

Next after quite a few years of not having any kind of bike at all (mostly due to expensive insurance and other priorities for my money) I finally got a new bike.... 2009 Ducati Monster 696. Never selling this one :)

IMG00006-20090801-1120.jpg

I'd love to get a dirtbike again.... maybe one day :)

The list is in my signature. Here are some pics.

CL125SM.JPG
This is a picture of my 1st bike.

MCPSTME2.JPG
This is a picture of me on my Indian taken in 1973 at the Monson hill climbs.

SMAL0312.JPG
This is the same bike a couple of years ago at Jampot Rallye.

SIDESM.JPG
This is my Harley panhead chopper. I built it myself. It is as close to an old school bike, the way we made them back when I was young, as I could get and still include those modern updates I considered important, like disc brakes for the front.

XSCLOSE.JPG
And, of course, my XS650

1977 Suzuki GS750. I learned on this bike but never owned one. I wish I did. Nothing zings like a GS motor. A terrific bike. Great in its day and still great if updated.

1978 Honda CB750F. Hooker headers, 29mm Smoothbores, Koni shocks, air forks, Martek elec ign, bronze swingarm bushing, tapered rollers in the steering stem, etc. I'm sorry I sold it...for a car.

1980 Yamaha XS650. $700. Bored, cammed, ported, carbed, fork emulators, Progressive shocks, Avons, just about new everything. Bad-ass and a keeper.

1980 Suzuke GS550E. $450. Rode it for 15K miles and had a lot of fun with it. Good handler and very reliable, if not exactly fast. I gave this bike to a friend.

1975 Honda CB400F. $810. A gorgeous bike. Keihin CR26s, Gold Valves. Tons of fun. The best bike Honda ever made. Another keeper.

1982 Yamaha Vision. $374. A total POS that needed everything. It's almost ready and going to be very nice. If it's not a keeper, I'll get a Guzzi.

I'm not sure I can remember them all but here goes:

Dirt & Enduros:

76 Honda Elsinore 70
77 Yamaha YZ-80
79 Yamaha YZ-125
78 Yamaha DT-125
76 Kaw KE-175
76 Kaw KT-250 Trials
88 Kaw KLE-250
88 Yamaha XT-350

Street:

78 Kaw KZ-650
77 XS-650 Standard
80 XS-650 Special
77 XS-750
79 Honda Goldwing
80 Suzuki GS-850
80 Suzuki GS-850 w/sidecar
66 Sears 250 (Puch)
70 BMW R75
75 BMW R90
77 BMW R90
90 BMW K75 S

Out in the Garage now:

81 XS-650 withe a Velorex sidecar
2008 Triumph Scrambler
83 Yamaha Vision
78 Yamaha DT-175
73 Yamaha Rt-3 360

If I had to pick 3 favorites of the the bunch it would probably be

1 . The 79 YZ-125 My first and only new bike. I thought I was pretty fast with its new fangled Monoshock suspension

2. BMW K-75S The most reliable bike ever. Just put gas in it and go. Put around 50K miles on it with 0 problems.

3. The Triumph Scrambler. By far the coolest bike of the bunch. I had gotten away from street riding for years but this bike brought me back. I hope to keep this one till I am too old to ride.

Wow. Is there enough bandwidth? I have been accused of having motorcycle/car ADD. Oh look, a puppy...

In sorta chronological order, starting at age 5:

No name minibike, blue with red lawnmower engine
Rupp minibike
Honda Mini Trail
Honda SL70
Honda SL100
Honda SL175
Honda SL125 (3 of those)
Honda XL175
Honda Elsinore 125
Harley 900 Sportster (a real piece of shit, that one)
Honda XL350
Yamaha TT250G
Yamaha Seca 750
Honda CL360
Yamaha TT600
Honda XR250 (2 of those)
Honda XR600 (heavy as hell but fun)
Honda XR400R (underpowered but a great bike)
Hodaka 100B
Hodaka Super Rat
Yamaha WR400F (LOVED this bike!)
1980 XS650 (current ride).

Had a bunch of various parts bikes, probably 20-30 of those. And I am sure I have left a few out, too.

Cars?

1965 Falcon, first car.
1971 Dodge Charger (an absolute gas hog.)
1971 Pinto
1972 Pinto (3 of those)
1974 Pinto
(For a while I bought Pintos cheap, drove them and resold them for a profit.)
1978 Plymouth Arrow
1974 Mustang II (a complete turd)
1968 Triumph Spitfire (swapped a 2.0 German Ford engine into it, REAL quick car)
Various Spitfire parts cars, 8-10 total. Most I fixed and sold for a profit.
1957? Triumph Herald convertible (ugliest car I ever owned)
1970 Triumph GT6+ (scary evil handling thing but man would it go)
1972 Triumph TR6
1971 MGB
1972 MGB (3 of those)
1973 Ford Courier pickup
1978 Ford Fiesta (great car, too bad it got totaled by a Buick)
1983 VW Rabbit GTi (the worst POS I ever owned. That car actively tried to kill me.)
1978 Datsun 280Z
1979 and 1981 Fiat X 1/9's (fragile but FUN!)
1979 and 1982 Mazda RX7's
1993 RX7 (totaled, bought it to part out.)
1986 1/2 Nissan SE V6 4x4 (my favorite truck)
1991 Isuzu Amigo XS (cool looking, fun but way underpowered)
1992 Jeep Cherokee Sport (a REAL pile of shit, was I ever glad to see it go)
1994 Isuzu Rodeo 2wd (great vehicle)
1974 Jensen Healey restored (still have)
1980 Triumph Spitfire with Mazda 12A rotary
1974 Jensen Healey with Mazda 13B rotary (still have, sold the rotary Spitfire to bankroll this one)
1997 Isuzu Trooper (still have, most reliable thing I've ever owned)

I'm sure I have left off a few various vehicles, like the Honda Odyssey (not the minivan!) I co owned with my brother, various go carts, crap like that.

EDIT: Yup, forgot to mention my 1971 Porsche 914. Had to be the slowest 'sports' car I ever owned. I could outrun it on foot.
ANOTHER EDIT: Forgot my Datsun powered 1970 Spitfire. Fun, handled great and best of all RELIABLE!
