Mustang Gas tank that will fit?

Hey guys (and gals I suppose),
I'm looking to tank-up. I was thinking about a mustang tank of some sort, just cause I like the look, but all of the ones I've seen seem to either have a really shallow groove (which I'm not that into) or they are too long. It looks like I have exactly 17" from my steering column along the top of my frame to where it splits off for the welded hard tail (It's a '79 2F). Any suggestions on where I might find a mustang tank under 17 inches tab end to tab end? Thanks and happy Friday

mustang tanks are pretty big, you could cut one up and make it fit.

the 810 is 7 and 11/16" hole to hole (which I imagine means an extra 1/8th or 1/4 or an inch on each side to the end of the tabs.

Jamesgs4, when you say cut it up, how do you mean? Do you mean altering the mounting tabs? Do you have any experience w/ this? Just curious in case I feel ambitious lol.

I mean cut the tank apart and section it so that it is smaller.
