My first ever bike build!!

My tank is frisco style. Before I mounting I tested for just that thing. My bars just miss the tank by 1/8"
full

after looking at the two tanks Airwolfies tank is longer than my tank.
I sure like Your tank Airwolfie

That looks comfy carbon!! And no, you can't have my tank!!!:D

Forgot to add a few pics of the now clean engine!! I reassembled the valve head and tappet part last night. Still got to clean the main shell as it still has a lot of residue in it, then it will be on to the painting!!! Got someone who will help me rebuild the engine(he's a motorcycle mechanic, whoo!!) once I got a few coats on.

On to some pics!!

Got to remove the guide, as it's knackered, taking the shell over to my mates so he can help me out cos he's got "the tools"!!

Can anybody tell me how many "sleevs" should there be in the motor halves? I only have one in the top part and and one in the gearbox shell.

Need to get some ASAP if I need more!

So I spent the weekend cleaning up the engine. Got one of those steam cleaner jobbies and used it to thoroughly clean every hole I could find! Just as well, this is what came out of it!! this was just some of the sand, I probably got about a table spoon full out in total!!

I then spent another couple of hours washing the whole shell with soap and hot water. Got another teaspoon full of sand out of the engine whilst doing this! I THINK I got it all out! So today I spent the morning prepping and masking out all the holes and covers and such, put a couple of coats on the engine, did a bit of detailing and here's the result!!

No bits inside the engine yet, I just slapped it together for painting. Going to take her apart again later this week, and clean up the gasket surfaces, do a bit more here and there, and then I will have to start putting it together.

More to come!!
