here she be......
took longer than expected and more money that expected [of course] but it runs like a dream and its now off to New Zealand to be my daily runner when Im in-country.
Best part of the entire exercise was [1] I did the paint myself, and [2] acquired a set of new pistons and rings from a seller in Ontario Canader for $50....
So we now have an XS1, XS1B and Ive just started a sympathetic resto on an XS2.

Yes the clocks are original. Ive learned how to pull them apart but didnt need to as these were decent, not perfect.
One day Ill do a full rebuild on a pair of instruments and replace these, but in the meanwhile these are more than adequate.
Im afraid my 71 Triumph Bonneville in New Zealand is gonna lead a lonely garage-based existence once this bike arrives.......
