Neck cups?

Wanting to put a HD springer on the xs, 1" stem, stock neck, cutting the stock neck cups off and making an insert blah blah blah. Ive read on here just to buy Harley neck cups that fit the insert but nobody gets specific and I doubt theyre all the same so does anybody know which cups I should get?

Buy the XS650 tapered roller bearing kit. Install the races in the frame. Set the bearings aside. Use the bearings that fit the HD stem. Install in the XS frame. You may need to mod the top nut on the springer a bit to fit.
Search on this forum and you will find that lots of people do this.

can this be done in reverse? my frame will already have 1 in. harley style neck, but it seems that its going to cost alot more to put springer on and then have to fab a brake mount and aftermarket caliper, can I put 7/8 race and bearing in harley style neck and use stock forks?
