Hi all,
I'm a proud owner of a TX650A and everything is working fine except that i do have
a bad oil leak from the cylinder head right side. Well i dont know if it's the good term
cause i'm not a mechanic. By checking the schematic on the following link

http://www.biker.net/74-76_650_parts/engine/650AB_cylhd.pdf

The oil come from #27 (cover breaker)

i dont understand that there is no gasket under my cover #32 and oil leak under that cover...by checking from the schematic there is no gasket??
Do i read the schematic bad or ???

Please help would be very appreciated

Thanks

It might be a seal on the end of your camshaft that's leaking. Find the schematic that includes the camshaft. Oil shouldn't get as far as under the cover #32 to leak.

In that diagram it doesn't show the seal. There is a seal mounted in the # 27 that seal around the end of the cam.
There is both an o-ring and a gasket that go behind #27.
Try looking at the parts fiches at www.boats.net the pics are clearer.
As xjwmx said the seal is shown with the cam parts.
Most likely the seal is bad. or maybe the end of the cam a bit rusty.
kinda tough to pull that #27, you have to pull the advancer mechanism to do the right side. On the left side, the points plate needs to come out.
If you do a bit of searching this site you will find more on this subject.

item #6 in the parts list. Factory part # 93101-25044-00 $3.86. You might want to shop around. You may find the shipping cheaper.
