I'm going to paint the tank on my xs with Roth rattle can flake.
I'm going to put a painted stripe down the middle of the tank and
a tuning fork logo decal on the sides. I've never done this before so
what I'm wondering is how long do I wait in between base coats and
flake coats? Then how long before I can tape the tank to spray the
stripe and apply the decal? I'm gonna use Spraymax 2k for the clear.

    Thanks in advance guys. Joe

You need to read the can and look for "flash time" I don't do to much with rattle cans ever. But you can lay down a base coat say 3 coats of flake (with flash times in between) wait 30/40 min (depending on tempature) even up to 24 hours (for automotive paint nason/Dupont/ppg ) then lay your tape lines ,spray, wait 10/15 Peel wait another 20/30 min depending on temp and clear. Like said though I've never really used rattle cans so I would try a test panel and make sure the different brands aren't going to react
