Hi All,

I am rebuilding a XS1 and need info on original fitment:
Where was the flasher relay installed in the XS1?
How is the saddle stay and where is it installed?

I have a flasher unit and it is quite big. I would like to install it as originally fitted.
I do not have the saddle stay, and need any information on the shape, location, etc...
By now the saddle stops on the rear right flasher lamp, not good :(

thanks for your help,

If it's the same as my xs2 the flasher fits just below the battery box.
The seat stay is a hook that goes on a the small bracket on the seat, see photo.

Thanks Yellowdog,

I spotted a small bracket with a welded nut just under the battery box; I suppose it is where the flasher should go.

For the saddle hook: is the pivot pin going in a bracket under the seat? and where does it hooks to ? Anyone with a picture of the hook in place ?
I do not see anywhere under the seat to install that hook, but the seat could be a re-fabricated one...

your picture is fine. I see now what is missing on the frame: the battery/toolbox support has not the part on which the hook catches.

For the moment, I will use a highly engineered solution : a piece of string....

Thanks for helping:thumbsup:
