New guy! Old bike! New project…

Ok twins now you are talking in a language I do not understand….can you redneck it down for me a little???!!
Go to the tech section and find "carbs". There is a wealth of info there. L9ng story short, the 78/79 carbs represent early EPA compliance and are a tad lean. Freeing up flow via pods and open (er) pipes means the engine needs a touch more fuel. In the BS38s it is a very simple procedure. Niche Cycle sells jets at ~$4.75 each. Look at the info in the carb section and order the @5twins recommendation. No one on this forum can remember @5twins ever being wrong on carb advice. Both jets can be changed with out removing the carbs from the bike.

Check out Pirate Ship. You can send stuff for a lot less than that. I been amazed at how much it's saved me on rotors, paint etc.

Hat tip to Gary for that.
I'll be darned...never heard of that.

That might be a more economical way to ship sheet metal (and fiberglass) parts to and from a certain person that knows a thing or two about doing some damned nice paint jobs?! 😉👍
