Hi all new owner of 1979 XS650. Not sure the model yet but gathering info from the board. Still haven't decided what I want to do with the bike but I'm leaning on leaving not making it a bobber and just restoring it.

Ditto. Mine is going even slower since I've only looked at mine and haven't even really committed to a direction. I got a color scheme in mind though. I like the darker metallic orange and beige or off white with a black pinstripe. Other than that nada. More than likely though I probably go with restoring it.

Well everyone I'd love to say I've gotten this thing out of paint everything is awesome. I get so many looks from this bike that I'm never getting rid of it but such is not the case. I did a little horse trading and someone else now is the proud owner of the bike. So I'd like to say thanks for all the help and I apologize for letting any deals I had/left hanging.
