New tripple tree?

I want to replace my triple tree, with a newer type. I want to use newer style forks, say off of a sport bike, so I can get better suspension and dual brake set up.

Any body know of one used?

I, too, am curious about new trees. Although I just want a top tree that is cleaner looking and not 'stepped' like the stocker. Does anyone know of a cheap one that would fit? Perhaps Roadcall is looking for the same thing?

Thanks Travis. Great help. Now to tear this 929 apart and and do some measuring. I want to use 17" wheels for several reasons. 1) tire selection 2) tire selection and 3) tire selection.
