next step after hardtail

hi guys, new to building bikes. i was wondering whats people opinion on what step i should take after getting the hardtail welded on. its a 78, i was thinking of setting up the handel bars and seat, then start on the brakes. after that ill have figured out if i should up grade to a big bore kit and new carbs? any advice would be helpful. thanks

Tackle the hardest part first and get it done, that would be the foot controls, foot peg position, brake stay and exhaust. Get these done, lots of decisions to make here and they are all related to each other.
